Antique Belgium Raseur Folk Art Piece by AntiqueAlchemists on Etsy

Very unique and one of a kind Raseur. These are difficult to find.

Created out of sheet metal. From Belgium, Circa 1910.

Raseur Translates to Boring. It is said that these were used by inn keepers or taverns, They would be placed at the bar for people who had drank a few too many and when its stopped rocking it meant it was time to go. Also used to announce last call!!

This piece is a depiction of a Knight upon his horse with his joust. It is in working condtion has some rust and missing paint mostly on sword, but is in great condition for its age. Lots of Patina.
This type of art is often referred to as tôle-peint, Painted Sheet Metal.

Great conversation piece and a wonderful decoration!

Measures from Top to Bottom 1ft 11'' Across is 1ft 2''
